The way we start our week sets a tone for the rest of our week so why not start it off with a little inspiration?

This week's inspirational message comes courtesy of the lovely Victoria Osteen. Each week I try to mix it up a bit and find different messages to share with my blog Ohana but for some reason I can't get enough of the Osteen's messages because they always seem to take the word of God and break it down in a way I can really understand (cause I can be slow sometimes, lol).

So without further adieu...

"Do you see yourself as a person of influence? It doesn't matter what your social position or what your financial situation is, you have tremendous influence in this world. You are not invisible; you matter because as a believer in Jesus, God has chosen you to be His representative and carry His influence in the earth.

You can have influence over your children, your spouse, your co-workers, your boss or circle of friends. Your influence may be extremely subtle. You may not receive accolades or acknowledgments in this life, and you may not even realize all the ways you are affecting the people around you. See, influence isn't about a social position; it's about a heart position. When you show up with a heart of excellence, you are operating from your place of influence. When you go above and beyond to do what is right, people take notice. The Bible says in Proverbs 27:17, "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." You sharpen the people around you by simply doing what is right." - Victoria Osteen
