It's Christmas time, my very favorite time of the year. I love the lights, joyful time, songs, and of course the time off to spend with family. This year I won't be able to be with my extended family but I'm very blessed and grateful that I have my immediate and military family here in Hawaii.
While we're enjoying this time of the year let's not forget the reason for this season, Jesus. My kids are now at the age where they understand the real reason for the season. It can get a little hectic trying to get Christmas shopping and dinner prepped but we must not forget whose birthday it is. If it weren't for our heavenly father blessing us with his precious son Jesus we wouldn't be able to enjoy all the festivities this time brings. It's because of his love why we get to forget about the trials of life and just enjoy quality time with each other.
With that said, I'm compelled to share this passage:
"What can I give him poor as I am? If I were a shepherd, I would give him a lamb, If I were a wise man, I would do my part, But what I can give him? give my heart."
"We love because he first loved us" - 1 John 4:19 NIV
Happy Monday everyone!
Have a blessed and fun week. Merry Christmas to you all!! :)
